Ahoy there me hearties!
I have finished the first draft of The Pirate Panto and we had our first read through last night with Simon. Well it made us laugh.
It’s a large cast. Seventeen all told, with nine main characters and several nice parts for those who don’t want too many lines. The chorus is as large as we can fit on the stage so if you just want to stand on stage in a fancy costume and sing in the back we shall be very glad to see you when auditions are announced.
Our first production meeting is tonight 31st August at 8.00 pm at Hollyhock Cottage. Come along if you want to get involved in any way behind the scenes.
We are holding a viewing evening for the DVD of our latest pantomime “Panto at The Ok Corral” on Friday the 11th March from 7.30.pm at Northmoor village hall.
Bring your own snacks and pay £1 on the door or treat yourselves to our chilli and rice supper served as you view; £10 a head plus a free glass of wine. Children welcome. Bring a friend or two. It should be a fantastic evening. The DVD by Seeing Eye productions is TV standard and the continuity bloopers are a comedy treat in themselves.
There will be a prize for the most bloopers spotted.
Sue will have the DVDs for sale during the interval. These are £10 per disc. If you have ordered a copy this is the perfect time to collect it.

Northmoor Players is a drama group run by and for people living in and around the village of Northmoor in West Oxfordshire.
We do not have a committee or hold regular meetings outside of the show rehearsal period. We have a treasurer and a few regular crew who spring into action whenever someone has a good idea for putting on entertainment in the village. So it’s minimal boredom and maximum fun.
We are famed for our wonderful pantomimes, which are performed in early February in our small but well appointed village hall. In 2012 we won first prize in the Oxford Drama Network Pantomime Competition. No mean feat for such a small village.
A lot of work and fun goes into putting on a show and we always need new members to keep things fresh and thriving.
Above are links to pages about our past triumphs, a photo gallery, our contact details and news of current shows and rehearsals.
So look around and contact us if you feel you would like to join us. People always seem to want to come back for more once they have been bitten by the “Northmoor Luvvie” bug.
